Transformers 2 - On Video

The below videos showcase the three projects I have been working on and promoting for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Tokyo Premiere

A number of us (sadly not me) flew out to Tokyo to put together a kick-ass promo piece for Paramount. The quick turnaround gave me scope to get it picked up by blogs and film sites. The video has notched up over 40,000 views so far. Not bad for a promotional video.

Transformers in PlayStation Home

We ran a three week treasure hunt around PlayStation Home. Residents could play five time-released games and win t-shirts and ultimately a trophy for their apartment. It was so successful it produced the longest thread ever on Sony’s Official Forum and the stats proved the thriving community Home has.

We Are Autobots

Our second foray into Augmented Reality following Star Trek. But more importantly, I finally managed to get myself into one of our viral videos! This one used facial recognition alongside AR to project Optimus Prime’s head onto yours. The YouTube video responses have been very special. This was my favourite.

Up next, GI JOE.

At one point I was off to Tokyo to work on this. Maybe next time. Big well done to colleagues Dan Skinner and chums who managed to pull together this punchy edit after 39 hours awake in Tokyo.

Autobots, Roll Out.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the latest film to enter PlayStation Home. Once again we are giving away a load of merchandise, only this time you have to earn it. Live today is the first clue, more of which will be released over the coming days…..

Up is already being touted as the best Pixar movie to date, but nothing will steal away from the return of Pixar’s classic, Toy Story.

June 18th, 2010 cannot come fast enough.

Yesterday we launched the latest incarnation of our social media toolkit / fankit / microsite thingy we still don’t have a name for.

The blurb from PPC Interactive

We’re incredibly excited about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, so much so that we built this massive mothership of Transformers content for users to access and share across the social web!

Last Day Dream - A (Very) Short Film

Not content with making three minute music video promos, Chris Milk has moved on to create something even shorter. The film tells the story of a man who watches his life pass before him, in 42 seconds.

And yes, that is Pauly Shore (via Kanye University and /film).

Below is a selection of posters springing up across America promoting the Star Wars weekend at Disney MGM Studios.  Really impressive creative. But how the hell Boba Fett got Han Solo past security at Orlando? Getting a laptop through is hard enough for me. And I am sure that violates the 25kg weight limit too. I presume he was flying first class, or has pretty decent frequent flyer status.
